Senpai Debbie Woodhouse Continues To Inspire

Some people walk to the shops. Some people go hiking for a few hours. And then there’s Senpai Debbie.

In the dojo she’s always been an inspiration. She’s our oldest black belt. She trains hard, and she doesn’t take no for an answer. Her strength of mind and spirit is incredible. But it doesn’t stop there. What she does in the dojo is just a reflection of how she approaches everything she does.

Here are a few old blog posts, that might give you just a bit of an idea what we mean:

And her latest adventure….

Debbie has always loved hiking, but when she told us earlier in the year that she was working toward doing a BIG one, we didn’t really comprehend what she meant. She told us the plan, and we heard how far and how long it was going to take, but I still don’t think we really understand the enormity of what she’s done.

Her trek began in late May and she finished earlier this month; in total of 3 months and 1 week. A solo trek of around 1700km from Cooktown to Moonford.

Carrying her supplies with on her custom made rig that she pull along behind her.

Here’s her original plan for the trek.

To say that she’s an inspiration is an understatement.

We hope to see her back in the dojo again in the near future.

But until then, here’s just a small glimpse at some of her trek.
