May In-House Tournament Results

Congratulations to all juniors who competed in May in-house tournament last Friday night.  This is our second round of in-house tournaments this year and it was great to see so many first time competitors jumping and entering.  It was also inspiring to see such a great standard of competition and lots of different people placing who don’t normally do so.  This just goes to show, just because you won last time doesn’t mean it’s always going to be that way.  You have to keep on working hard because there’s always someone else out there who’s working that little bit harder than you.

A big thank you to our brown and black belts who gave up their Friday evening to referee and judge and also to the parents and supporters who stepped up to help as table officials, scorers and time keepers.  Without referees and officials, these kind of events would not be possible.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get any photos or videos of the action on Friday night, but if you were there, please send through any photos you have and we’ll update this blog post.

For those who are keen, here are the results – In-house tournament results [PDF].

All members who participated in the in-house tournament are welcome to join the competition squad.  If you’re not already part of the squad, please be sure to speak to instructors to find out what’s involved.  And just a reminder, entries are soon closing for this year’s Gold Coast Cup.  Entry forms have already been distributed to all squad members via email.  Forms and entry fees are due back in Friday 10th June.
