We’ve finally got the new mats laid in the dojo. It was a big job, but well worth it.
When the Soke Cup was coming up, Sensei Adam asked if we could share our local association’s competition mats. We did, and it was also a chance to upgrade the dojo mats at the same time. We broke the new mats in before the Soke Cup by laying them over our old mats for a few weeks, then packed them up for the trip to the Gold Coast.
With the Soke Cup over, we’ve finally packed up the old mats and laid the new ones. A big thank you to Sensei Sandra, Sensei Bailey and Senpai Steven for helping get the job done.
The old mats are for sale at $15 each. They’ve still got plenty of life left in them, just not for a full-time dojo, so if you’re setting up a home dojo, let us know. There are more than 140 mats, sold first come, first served.
Come and try them out: your first lesson is free. See the class times, then book a free trial.
